i believe that Jesus Christ died for me, then rose from the dead, and through Him i am saved.

I agree, but i wish i could understand it more
I was just having a discussion on this yesterday. We spend too much time focusing on the little details of being doctrinally correct and the "right" way to be a Christian, but it really does come down to something SO simple.
I would rephrase it though:
"I believe that Jesus Christ died for me, then rose from the dead, and through Him I am saved"

@pinksunfiredragon - thanks! i will rephrase it to include one of the most important aspects of Christianity: the resurrection.
