conviction
is it right to tell someone that because they are not convicted by something, they don't have the holy spirit?

hmmmm.... I don't know we can judge another's heart. But the bible says we should SEE the fruit of the Spirit.
My daughter is saying she really likes your profile picture
What do YOU think?
I think He corrects us in different areas at different times. Think about people who have come from a long life of sin and then come to know Christ, there not this immediate change in every area of their lives. Even in my own life, I think if the Holy Spirit were to reveal every single issue of my heart all at once, i think I would despair and want to give up.
@mamma_sez -
haha thanks! i like the picture too!
as far as what i think, it's hard to say. the phrase that i wrote was said to some middle and high school kids at my church and they were in tears because they thought they didn't have the holy spirit. i think in the right context and situation, it makes sense. it's distinguishing those things that can be difficult.
@le_meme_chose - hmm that is really hard, because even NONE Christians have a conscience. But the difference with the Holy Spirit is that it SHOULD lead us too repentance and that I think might be the key. So to say that is is purely a sign of the Holy Spirit isn't necessarily true either... Fruit I think is what the bible says.
Very good question!! I've often asked myself that same question, as well. The bible does say that we shall know them by their fruits, but as you said, too, if the Lord were to deal with every single "issue" we have in our hearts, all at one time, I too, think that I would have given up a long time ago!! It would have been too difficult to continue the walk!
GOOD QUESTION!!
